Peaceful election process in Nakuru praised by business leaders

Nakuru, August 20, 2017

National media has reported that business leaders in Nakuru have benefited from the peacefulness of the election process.

Stephen Thuo, from the Nakuru branch of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that the peace that accompanied the election has meant that local businesses have been able to operate without interruption.

He singled out the flower industry as a sector that has previously suffered during election periods, due to violence and civil unrest, but that has been able to continue without disruption during the 2017 poll.
